• [ROSIE BANDANA] Historically accurate 27 inch red and white polkadot bandana fashioned from cotton cloth dyed just for us. The size is what the US Army required for safety in factories. Rosie WORKED HARD.
• [RIVETS] We found machinist rivets similar to ones Rosie used and have included several in Rosie the Riveters Token Treasures. Rosie worked hard. For example: Each Liberator Bomber required 700,000 rivets. Whether installing rivets or bucking them, Rosie showed her STRENGTH.
• [STEEL PENNY (STEELIE] Only made in 1943, these unique pennies, circulated until the 1960s when the US Mint collected and destroyed most of them. WW2 military demands for copper meant the US Mint had to replace copper with 99% steel and a thin zinc coating in all pennies. But just in 1943 because the pennies began to rust. Treasure this Rosie Touchstone that was likely touched by a Rosie or other working woman. One authentic 1943 penny included and think of RESILIENCE.
• [WW2 RATION TOKEN] WW2 saw extensive rationing of goods. Food, for example, was bought with ration stamps. Red tokens, like the one included, were given as change for meats & fats from 1944 through 1945. Rationing was viewed as a challenge to find creative ways to prepare nutritious meals.
